OMAHA (DTN) -- The Alpha Engines Corp. has received a patent from the Chinese Patent Office for its detonation cycle gas turbine engine, according to a news release from the company.
 
The engine is capable of running on a variety of or a mixture of ethanol, gasoline, diesel, propane, natural gas, hydrogen and methanol, the release said.
 
The company has plans for a mass market distribution in the United States and abroad.
 
DeLand, Fla.-based Turbine Truck Engines, Inc. is the company that expects to bring the engine to commercialization.
